High on Life!!

Ganpati Bappa Morya!!

Crowded streets, decorated tents, large queues in front of sweet stores and chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya from every corner of the road is what you witness in the city these days. And only for this period no body seems to be annoyed with people pilling up in front of these tents to watch the massive decorations and say their prayers..

These 10 days of Ganesh Utsav (to celebrate the birth of god ganesha) bring in a different spirit to the entire city. Everything looks colourful specially with the lights in the evening, totally calm with every single person having lots of time to glance at the idols and chat away with glory. The sound of the aarti (prayers) chanted in the calmness of the night make the feeling of connection with god even stronger. Me aint very much a spiritual person but somehow love this festival. We too get an idol of ganesha every year home and its fun to decorate the place, help in preparing the different sweets served as the Prasad and then just watch the entire idol light in the darkness from far.. Ahhh.. amazing feeling..

Ramblings..

*Rains and loads of it.. splashing waters, colorful raincoats, long drives and amazing amounts of chai.. awww everything feels divine.. All I need is a holiday..

*It was time for old friends and cheap wine last Friday. Gossips, giggles and dance, we were actually asked to leave as the restaurant was shutting down (Grrrr).. Some amazing people and some awesome time of togetherness..

*Its when you actually weigh yourself that all you hear is diet and weight loss everywhere.. I have been planning to go to the gym for the last 2 weeks, but all in vain.. I seriously need a very strong motivation to get up early.. :(

*Sometimes I wonder why people behave so stupid. If you ask some unknown person for a favor why is it that he always gives you some weird looks.. Do I do the same?? (who cares.. as for now I consider all those who do this as totally impolite..)

*These days there is a lot of things going on in my mind.. and I am kind of just going a little overboard with it.. doubt my sanity at times ;).. its crazy to be your own worst critic!

*Its been loads of shopping, meeting people and lots lots of driving.. I am somehow tired of everything for no apparent reason! Need some space and a few hugs.. Ha! Expectations again.. :)

Glad!!

I am back to my regular chirpiness.. it feels great.. and the weather is just adding that extra joy.. listening to Alanis Morissette's Ironic..
