A month and more....

Last month passed in a whirlwind of activity - met 100s of people, smiled up at total strangers many of whom have already turned into casual friends, attended a few dozens of meetings (half of which I don’t remember making notes of either), went out sight seeing with a bunch of unknown faces ofcourse whom now I totally can connect with, worked and partied at the same time with people I had never seen before and strangely but absolutely felt being at home in a place I had just recently shifted to, Belgium.

Its a weird combination of people both at the office and residence. There are masters, doctors, financial analysts, people from media, healthcare, IT and the ‘everywhere present’ engineers as well. So when we talk, its almost always different sides of an issue that we see (these days it’s the stock exchange and who has lost how much money) haha. Its fun and sometimes a little annoying too, but everyone's trying hard to make the other guy feel at ease.

The apartment is amazing and the infrastructure and facilities on offer are absolutely first class. All rooms are air conditioned and serviced by the always smiling House Keeping guys, which basically means that your bed is made and the rooms cleaned every day you walk into your room in the evening (ok.. now that’s an exaggeration but yes the bed is made once every week). There is a fully equipped kitchen where of course you need to do the cooking and in my case its always the neighbors (I have a few colleagues staying there), a huge living room with a sofa in the perfect direction to make you feel totally cozy either watching the tv or then just lazying around with a book, there are two gardens on either side of the apartment, a huge shopping alley 2 minutes walk from home and a recreation and hobby store right outside the house. But yes twenty four hours of the day seem just too less to enjoy all of this and with me already a month old in there its even worse..

All in all its a beautiful place with a very cool bunch of people and so far amazing weather.. :)
